Chase and his friends at daycare are now doing turkey projects at daycare and learning Thanksgiving songs. The other day Chase was singing a song and it was so cute I had to tape it and let you hear it. I am so thankful for my precious son and his ability to sing and make me smile! When Emily got home from school today, Chase had paper and crayons out. Emily gladly joined in and a little while later came and showed me what she had done. She said, "Look mommy, it's my first dot-to-dot. It's a baby elephant!" She had done all of the dots first and then colored it in. I am so proud of her!
Emily and Chase have both performed in church the last two Sundays. The first video is Emily's puppet show from her Wednesday night church class. The second video is from this morning - Chase's Sunday School class performed one of their songs from class entitled "Be Careful Little Eyes." They are both so proud of their performances. Enjoy!
Well, once again I've been absent from the blogging world for a few weeks....so what have we been doing? Well, last weekend we made it out to Pratt for an afternoon with Grandpa and Grandma Pankratz. Grandma bought a new beginner's piano book for Emily to go through. Emily paid attention so well and even asked the next morning if she got all ready for school if she could practice on the small keyboard that we have. SO...if this turns into a love for Emily, we might be in the market for a piano. What fun.
Grandpa needed to go to Pratt to pick up a load of meat for his trucking business. He asked if either of the kids wanted to go with him and they started out saying yes, but backed out. That truck is pretty big and it would have been a long trip. But I'm sure they'll look forward to it when they are a little older. They got to ride just down the road to hook up to the trailer.
A couple of weeks ago, we had a fun afternoon at Grandpa and Grandma Sommer's with a yummy lunch, football playing and watching, a few short naps by the adults and playing games. It was a windy day so our walk didn't last too long!
I think Grandpa is getting tired, but Chase keeps him going!
We had a beautiful Halloween in Wichita, KS! We have been blessed with unseasonably warm weather this week, but I'll take it anyday! The kids had fun pumpkin carving. Emily has always shyed away from touching the slimy seeds, but she really got into it this year. They both had a ball. Chase picked the mouth for our design and Emily picked the eyes and nose.

Aren't they cute? They got lots of compliments on their outfits while trick-or-treating.
Our church held their annual Oktoberfest celebration yesterday and we were in for a treat....besides the 'ol Kansas wind! We arrived around 11:30 am and the kids went straight to the Moonwalk to bounce away. They paused just long enough for me to snap a picture. The youth group had set up several stations with games for the kids. They had so much fun playing. We went inside to eat a brat/hot dog lunch which was so yummy - especially since I didn't have to cook. 
We were very tired so we all came home and took naps. It was a nice relaxing afternoon getting some things done. While I was cleaning up dinner, the kids held a concert in the kitchen with some of their songs from Bible school this summer. They do this often and I just had to share their musical talent! They are pretty good. Enjoy.
Now the weekend is over and it's time to start another week. I think it will be cooler here this week so more of Fall feel in the weather. Have a great week!
If you don't already know this about me, I have the privilege of co-owning a business with my mother and sister-in-law. About 2 years ago, we started Sassy Klassy 'N More - a custom-made bag company specializing in handmade products customized to the customers standards. We have had so much fun growing our business together. Last weekend, we participated in Junior League's Holiday Galleria event. This is basically the holiday opener for shoppers in the Wichita area! We had a great time designing our booth, getting set up and handing out lots of information about our business. We now hope the orders start coming in.
Kim has such an eye for detail and making things look so good.
Mom (or Sharon!) also has a great eye for detail and puts on finishing touches.
